It takes about 20-30minutes to get to the airport from the city centre, though, depending on the way of transportation you choose and on the time of a day (as the rush hours may occur, for instance, or so).

Barcelona International Airport offers four main transport options to the centre of Barcelona (Plaza de Cataluna).

The aero bus service is a bus shuttle service, joining the airport and the city centre. Buses usually run every 15 minutes, stopping at all three terminals if somebody is catching them. You can reach Placa Espana or Placa Cataluna, getting profit of this bus shuttle service.

The prices for the tickets are 3.75 Euros - for a single and 6.45 Euros - for a round trip. You can diminish the price of the ticket for about 20 %, buying a special Barcelona Card.

Trains from Barcelona International Airport run every 30 minutes (from the airport to the Barcelona centre as well). The travel takes about 25 minutes. If you buy an ordinary ticket, you should pay for another one when changing from one train station to another one. But there is a special T10 ticket, which doesn't demand additional payment.You can purchase a T10 ticket from any metro station. The price for a single ticket is 2.60 Euros.

Car hire from Barcelona International Airport is presented with four car rental companies, named Avis, Hertz, National Atesa, and Europcar. They are located in Terminal B and have a wide choice of the cars, from luxury to economy ones. And the prices are moderate and reasonable.
